Accountability for content
According to § 7 Abs.1 TMG I as operator of the service am accountable for my own content on these pages in compliance to the general laws. According to §§ 8 to 10 TMG I am not obligated to monitor foreign transmitted or saved content or to search for circumstances that would indicate an unlawful activity.
An obligation for removal or blocking the usage of information according to general laws is unaffected. Any accountability is only possible after the time of knowledge of the specific violation of law. I will immediately remove any content that violates laws once I come to know about the fact.
Accountability for links
These pages contain links to external websites to which content I don’t have any influence. Therefore I cannot give any warranty for this foreign content. The operator of the foreign content is responsible for the content of the linked pages. The linked pages were investigated at the time of the linkage to check for possible violations of laws. At the time of linkage no violations were visible.

I take the privacy of your data very seriously. I keep your personal data confidential according to the legal obligations and according to this data privacy statement.
In general the usage of this website is possible without any specification of personal data. If on these pages any personal data is collected (e.g. name, address or email address) it occurs as far as possible on a voluntary basis. These data will not be given to third parties without your explicit approval!
I’d like to point out that the data transfer on the internet (e.g. during communication via email) might have security holes. A protection of data against third parties without any gaps is not possible.
If you decide to buy anything from me the whole execution of the transaction will be done by a third party (Digistore24). This data privacy statement is not valid for this third party. Why am I doing this via a third party? Because meanwhile it is no fun to sell digital goods if you are not Facebook or Google. Did you know for example that for digital goods the VAT is calculated based on the buyer’s location and that you need to pay it to the tax office in the buyer’s country? This means neverending paperwork that I don’t want to spend time on.
Cookies
These pages don’t use any cookies at this very moment. However, if you follow links to other pages (e.g. Wikipedia. Youtube, etc.) those might use cookies.
In general cookies don’t harm your computer and they don’t contain viruses. They make sure that the offer is more user friendly, more effective and safer. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and are saved by your browser. Most of those cookies are so called “session cookies”. Those get deleted automatically at the end of your visit. Other cookies are kept on your device until you delete them. Those cookies allow me to recognize your browser the next time you come along.

Currently I don’t offer any newsletter. But if I would the following would apply.
If you want to subscribe to offered newsletters of this webpage I need your e-mail address and some information that allows me to check whether you are really the one owning this e-mail address and that you want to get the newsletter. More data is not collected. I only use this data to send you the requested information and I will not pass them on to anybody else.
You can revoke your consent to safe this data, the e-mail address and its usage for newsletters at any time, for example by using the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletter.
Server log files
The provider of servers for these pages (ionos 1&1) collects and saves information your browser provides automatically in so called server log files. Those are:
- browser type and browser version
- used operating system
- referrer URL
- hostname/IP of the accessing system
- time of the server request
Outside a member area this data cannot be related to an individual person. Inside a member area they might be combined with a user name. Please don’t use a member area if that is a problem for you.
A combination of this data with other data sources is not done. I reserve the right to inspect this data if I get specific evidence for an unlawful usage.
These server log files are automatically analyzed by my provider ionos 1&1 via their tool WebAnalytics. The IP address is used in an anonymized form. I have concluded an agreement for contract data processing with my supplier.
Shariff
The world wide web lives because of linking and embedding information. Unfortunately it also became a personal data vacuum cleaner. I try to avoid as much as I can any calls to the big social media platforms unless you really want interaction with them. So instead of directly incorporating sharing buttons of social platforms I use Shariff as a wrapper. Calls will only be made to a platform if you actively click on a sharing button.
On some pages functions of the service Twitter are integrated (especially the twitterfeed). Those functions are offered by Twitter Inc., 1355 Market Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. By using twitter and the function “re-tweet” your visited websites will get connected to your twitter account. I’d like to indicate that I as the operator of these pages don’t know anything about the content of the submitted data and their usage by Twitter. YouTube
This website uses plugins of the Google maintained page YouTube on some pages. Operator of the pages is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. If you visit one of my pages that have a YouTube Plugin a connection to the servers of YouTube will be established along with the information which page you have visited. If you are logged in with your YouTube account you enable YouTube to link your surf behavior to your personal profile. You can avoid this by logging out of your personal YouTube account. When you write a comment on this site then your comment as well as the time of creation, your e-mail address and (if you are not posting anonymously) your chosen name get stored. The comment function saves the ip address of the user creating the comment. Because I will not check the comment before publication, I need this data in case of legal problems such as insult. If that is a problem for you please don’t comment.

In case you are missing any description about Google Analytics, the facebook pixel or other stuff, that is not a mistake but intentionally not there because I don’t use it. I am not optimizing for any marketing campaigns, it is just a blog.
